The port of Olbia (port of the “Isola Bianca” – White Island) is the first Italian port as regards passenger services. Olbia is situated at a distance of less than 300 kilometres from the mainland. Modern and fast ferry boats cover this distance in about five and a half hours.

The port is connected to the suburban road network by a tunnel and elevated motorways.
