The routes wind not only along the coastline of the Gulf of Orosei, which is surrounded by a nearly unbroken mountain range composed of 30 kilometers of towering limestone steep faces, but also through the mountain massif of the Supramonte, which is destined to become a nature preserve because of its exceptional characteristics. The guide suggests routes through thick forests, steep rocky mountainsides, deep gorges, or wild canyons that are closed between towering vertical steep faces. Their rocks have been eroded by the elements and erosion has carved magnificent shapes out of the stone. In this area, there are a considerable number of geological, geomorphological, idrogeological, floristic, faunistic and speleological particularities. Excursionists can find various spheres of interest and alternate trekking, navigation and aquatic sports. There are also many caves in this area, some of them are very long and rich in magnificent concretions.
